Practice Manager
Plano, Texas · Full-time, on-site
THE SHORT VERSION
A nationally recognized facial plastic surgery practice with three service lines and an accredited surgery center is hiring its first true operations leader. The seat reports directly to the owner, carries every non-clinical function in the practice, and is being created — not backfilled — with a defined structure already built for whoever takes it. If you have been running a practice without the title or the authority, this is the step up.
The opportunity
Our practice is a physician-owned, facial plastic surgery practice, led by an internationally published facial plastic surgeon and a recognized authority in hair restoration and facial aesthetics. The practice runs three distinct businesses under one roof — surgery, hair restoration, and aesthetics/injectables — supported by an accredited ambulatory surgery center and a team of roughly 15–19.
The practice is profitable, established, and growing. What it does not yet have is a single operations leader. Ownership has deliberately created this seat rather than distributing the work and has invested in defining it properly: the organizational design, reporting structure, scorecard, and first-90-days plan are already built. You are inheriting a structure, not improvising one.
What makes this different from most practice manager jobs
Almost entirely cash-pay
Elective aesthetic and surgical services. No payer contracts to manage, no denials queue, no credentialing treadmill. Your energy goes into the business, not into insurance.
Three businesses, not one
Surgery, hair restoration, and aesthetics each have their own economics, funnel, and rhythm. You will manage a portfolio, not a department.
Real authority
Front office, patient experience, operations and facilities, finance operations, HR, vendors, and compliance all roll up to this seat. You will have direct reports and budget visibility.
An owner who wants to step back
Ownership is actively working to remove itself from daily operations. Your success is measured partly by how little you need them.
Structure already in place
A documented org design, a defined scorecard, an SOP program, and a role-tiered performance dashboard are being stood up now. You inherit the instrumentation.
What you will own
- Daily operations across all three service lines — schedule integrity, room and OR utilization, patient flow, and the coordination rhythm between clinical, front office, and operations.
- The team — hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and development for the non-clinical staff, in partnership with the clinical leadership.
- Financial operations — oversight of daily reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and vendor contracts, working alongside a retained fractional CFO who provides independent review.
- Business performance — consultation-to-treatment conversion, lead follow-up discipline, case volume, and the metrics that drive each service line, reviewed weekly against a scorecard.
- The patient experience — the standard from first inquiry through post-treatment follow-up, including reputation and review management.
- Facilities, compliance, and risk — surgery center accreditation support, OSHA and HIPAA program administration, equipment and vendor management, and the operating policies that keep all of it current.
Who we are looking for
We are far more interested in how you operate than in where you have operated. If you have run the business side of a high-volume, consultation-driven, cash-pay practice, we want to talk to you — regardless of specialty.
Backgrounds that translate well
- Facial plastics, plastic surgery, or cosmetic dermatology practice operations
- Medical spa or aesthetics group management, including multi-location
- Refractive surgery / LASIK, oculoplastics, or cosmetic ophthalmology
- Orthodontic, cosmetic dental, or oral surgery practice management
- Fertility, concierge medicine, or another elective, deposit-driven service line
- Specialty veterinary or another high-touch, private-pay clinical business
- Luxury retail, hospitality, or service general management — paired with clinical-environment exposure
What we expect you to bring
- Five or more years managing the operations of a clinical or high-touch service business, including direct supervision of a team
- Real ownership of a P&L or an operating budget — you can read a financial statement and explain a variance
- Command of a practice management or EHR platform and comfort building reporting out of it (we use DrChrono; platform-agnostic fluency matters more than that specific system)
- A track record of turning informal habits into documented process, and getting a team to actually follow it
- The judgment to make decisions in the owner’s absence, and the discipline to escalate the ones that warrant it
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; CMPE, FACMPE, or CMOM credentials welcome but not required
BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF ABOUT FIT
This is a hands-on seat in a small organization. There is no layer beneath you to absorb the work, and on a hard day you will be solving problems yourself rather than assigning them. It suits an operator who wants scope and autonomy — not one who wants a large department and a defined lane.
Compensation and structure
- Base salary: [$XXX,XXX – $XXX,XXX], commensurate with experience.
- Performance incentive tied to a defined operational and financial scorecard, reviewed [quarterly].
- Benefits: [health coverage, paid time off, retirement plan, continuing education allowance, aesthetic treatment benefit].
- Reports to: Owner / CEO. Works closely with the Co-Owner on strategy and governance, and with the retained fractional CFO on finance.
- Location: Plano, Texas. On-site — this role is not remote or hybrid.
- Start:. We will wait for the right person.
How to apply
Send a resume and a short note.
Every applicant receives a response. Conversations are confidential, and we understand that strong candidates are usually employed. Introductory calls can be scheduled outside business hours.
We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.

We are a new clinician- and scientist-led medical aesthetics practice launching across San Francisco and the Bay Area, with locations in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Gatos, and the Burlingame area. Our founding team is made up of plastic surgeons and research scientists from Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and Duke, and every treatment protocol is developed and refined by clinicians and scientists working side by side. Our proprietary in-house AI models automate much of the manual and administrative work, so you spend your time on the things you love: treating patients and perfecting your craft.
This role is best suited for an experienced injector who is clinically thoughtful, confident with patients, excited by continued learning, and energized by the chance to join a science-driven practice at the ground floor. As one of our founding injectors, you'll work directly with the founding team, help shape our treatment protocols and patient experience, and grow with the practice as we scale across the Bay Area.
Why This Role Is Different
- Clinician- and scientist-led. Founded by plastic surgeons and research scientists from Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and Duke — evidence-based protocols and a culture of clinical rigor.
- AI does the busywork. Our proprietary in-house AI models handle much of the routine manual work (e.g., documentation, charting, photo management), freeing you to focus on patient care and injection artistry.
- Multiple Bay Area locations. Modern clinics across San Francisco and the Peninsula/South Bay.
- A ground-floor opportunity. Join as a founding injector: direct mentorship from the founding team, a real voice in how the practice is built, and room to expand your scope as we grow
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive hourly base of $50–$150 per hour, depending on licensure (RN, NP, or PA), skills, and experience, plus an uncapped bonus/commission structure — no upper limit on earning potential. Compensation is designed to reward clinical skill, productivity, and patient retention.
- Malpractice insurance coverage.
- Paid advanced clinical and manufacturer trainings, plus a continuing education budget.
- Complimentary and discounted treatments and skincare for team members.
- Health, dental, and vision benefits for eligible full-time team members.
- Travel support for providers working across multiple Bay Area locations.
- Roles may begin part-time with the opportunity to expand based on performance, patient demand, and practice fit.

- Manage and develop your team through daily check-ins, documented performance conversations, clear expectations, and accountability to shared goals
- Set short- and long-term goals for your team, including monthly targets, and actively track progress against them
- Identify, recruit, hire, train, and inspire team members to build their careers with us
- Cultivate a high-morale, high-performing practice culture where the team is proud to show up
- Mentor emerging leaders and ensure alignment with company culture and expectations
- Embody and reinforce our mission and core values — Specialized, Personalized, Welcoming, and Collaborative — in how you lead
Provider Oversight & Performance
- Oversee the day-to-day functions and performance of providers within your practice
- Partner with the COO to ensure the provider schedule is complete and confirmed for the quarter
- Hold providers accountable for working scheduled shifts and for day-to-day performance
- Partner with COO to have direct, tough conversations on performance when needed, with professionalism and clarity

- Hit sales goals and KPIs on a daily, monthly, and annual basis
- Monitor conversion rates and treatment plan acceptance
- Analyze sales reports and bring ideas to improve revenue, efficiency, and client experience

We are hiring a Marketing Director to fully own the marketing function for a growing, established aesthetic and wellness practice.
This is not a content-creation role and it is not a position for someone who needs to be assigned and reminded of individual tasks. We already have a hands-on content team member who captures, edits, and executes. We need the person above that function—the strategic owner who builds the plan, sets priorities, delegates clearly, reviews the work, measures performance, and adjusts direction before problems reach the founder.
This person will report directly to the owner and will be responsible for elevating the brand, strengthening our market position, and building a thoughtful, forward-looking marketing strategy that supports the next stage of growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Build and own the annual, quarterly, and monthly marketing plan
- Translate business goals into clear campaigns, priorities, timelines, and deliverables
- Direct and organize the work of internal content support, contractors, agencies, and vendors
- Create systems that ensure projects are assigned, tracked, completed, reviewed, and improved
- Maintain a cohesive, elevated brand across social media, email, website, events, partnerships, advertising, and patient communications
- Plan campaigns well in advance rather than operating reactively
- Review content and creative work for quality, accuracy, brand alignment, and strategic purpose
- Track performance, identify what is and is not working, and make timely adjustments
- Bring forward new ideas, opportunities, and recommendations without waiting to be asked
- Meet with the owner weekly to review the plan, performance, upcoming priorities, and decisions needed
- Own day-to-day execution independently, with minimal unnecessary midweek escalation
The right candidate is highly organized, commercially minded, decisive, and comfortable being accountable for outcomes. They understand the difference between being busy and moving the business forward. They can see the full picture, create structure around creative work, hold others accountable, and protect the owner from becoming the default project manager.
We are looking for someone who takes complete ownership of their department, communicates clearly, plans ahead, and consistently delivers polished work. Experience in aesthetics, luxury services, beauty, healthcare, wellness, hospitality, or another high-touch consumer brand is strongly preferred.
This role is ideal for a strategic leader who wants real autonomy, direct access to the founder, and the opportunity to meaningfully shape the next chapter of a growing brand.
