Job Description

We are seeking a driven and hospitality-focused Sales Manager to lead sales initiatives for a boutique property. This role focuses on developing transient and group business, cultivating strong client relationships, and maximizing revenue through personalized, high-touch service. The ideal candidate brings previous sales experience, a knowledge of hospitality operations, and a passion for exceeding guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities


Sales & Business Development


  • Establish and maintain contracts for group room blocks and meeting spaces
  • Develop and grow various markets, including corporate, medical, and wholesale segments
  • Conduct proactive sales through phone, in-person, and virtual visits, trade shows, and networking events
  • Provide property site inspections and presentations for prospective clients
  • Maintain and update client databases to ensure accessibility and compliance
  • Analyze market reports and competitor trends to inform sales strategies
  • Partner with revenue and operations teams to maximize revenue opportunities


Client & Relationship Management


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless service for group events
  • Communicate competitive insights and area events to associates and management
  • Review and refine sales practices to meet current and future business goals


Operational & Administrative Responsibilities


  • Manage special event orders (BEOs) and coordinate departmental duties for events
  • Post payments, maintain files, and update corporate records under management guidance
  • Assist with department budgeting and overall sales objectives
  • Maintain proactive marketing and promotional strategies under leadership direction
  • Follow system-wide sales policies, procedures, and best practices


Qualifications in Addition to Those Listed Below

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform typical hospitality sales duties
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background and driving record check

Education

  • High school diploma required; associate’s degree or higher preferred

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of direct sales experience in hospitality required
  • 1–2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Previous experience as a sales manager preferred
  • Experience with boutique or extended-stay properties a plus
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
