About the Opportunity
We are a well-established, high-performing plastic surgery practice seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor (RN) to oversee clinical operations and lead a dedicated surgical team.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a strong OR nurse who enjoys balancing patient care with team leadership, operational oversight, and clinical excellence. The position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient surgical workflows and maintaining the highest standards of patient care and accreditation.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Operations
- Oversee day-to-day clinical operations across the practice and surgical setting
- Supervise, train, and support clinical staff (RNs, MAs, surgical team)
- Manage staffing schedules, workflow efficiency, and patient flow
- Partner with the Director of Operations and Medical Director on clinical strategy and execution
- Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, and staff development
Surgical & Patient Care Oversight
- Assist in surgical procedures as needed (circulator, scrub, PACU support)
- Ensure all pre-, intra-, and post-operative processes are followed
- Coordinate surgical scheduling, clinical documentation, and patient readiness
- Oversee recovery room and OR readiness, cleanliness, and compliance
- Handle patient communication, follow-ups, and clinical inquiries
Compliance, Safety & Quality
- Maintain AAAASF (QUAD A) accreditation standards and regulatory compliance
- Serve as Infection Control Lead and enforce safety protocols
- Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
- Monitor inventory, equipment, and supply needs
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR/ACLS certification
- Strong operating room (OR) experience, including circulator, scrub, and PACU roles
- Experience in ambulatory surgery or plastic/cosmetic surgery preferred
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong understanding of surgical workflow, patient safety, and infection control
- Familiarity with AAAASF / QUAD A standards
- Highly organized with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
Schedule Overview
- Monday & Thursday (Clinic Days): Flexible hours focused on administrative duties, pre-op coordination, and clinical oversight
- Tuesday & Wednesday (Surgery Days): 7:00 AM – end of surgical schedule (varies)
- Friday: Alternating surgery days (7:00 AM start) or flexible administrative day
- No regular weekends (occasional exceptions due to rare circumstances)
Compensation & Benefits
- $65–$68/hour, depending on experience
- Medical benefits + 401(k)
- 3 weeks PTO (after 90-day probation)
- 5 sick days + 2 personal days
- 7 paid holidays annually
