About the Role

Our practice is seeking a professional and experienced Operating Room RN Manager to lead our surgical team in a busy, multi-surgeon, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced surgical nurse with strong leadership skills, the ability to multi-task and troubleshoot under pressure, and the expertise to balance hands-on patient care with operational, financial, and administrative oversight.

Compensation: $135,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year

Benefits:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead OR staff across recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and ongoing professional development
  • Partner with physicians, practice leadership, nursing, and the Surgery Scheduler to ensure safe, efficient, and well-coordinated surgical operations
  • Manage OR staffing and schedules aligned to case volume while monitoring payroll, surgical times, and billed charges for operational and financial efficiency
  • Oversee surgical supplies, equipment maintenance, narcotic controls, emergency preparedness, and cost-containment initiatives
  • Ensure accurate documentation, chart readiness, and compliance with accreditation, OSHA, and state regulatory requirements
  • Support direct patient care and quality initiatives, including OR/PACU coverage, patient education, infection control, safety drills, and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required (or equivalent experience)
  • Current California RN license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
