Job Description

1. About Our Practice

Our practice is a physician-led aesthetics and wellness practice. Every treatment is delivered under Medical Director oversight, with written protocols, informed consent, and documentation standards that protect the patient and the provider.

The experience is quiet luxury: calm, polished, discreet, and personal. Patients choose our practice for natural results they can trust and for a space that feels nothing like a rushed clinic. Standards are high, and every person on the team is expected to protect the brand in how they treat, speak, and document.

2. The Role

The Licensed Esthetician owns the skin care side of the patient journey: results-driven facials, chemical peels within scope, dermaplaning, LED, and skin consultations that end in a clear treatment series and home-care plan.

You are often the first clinical touchpoint a patient has with our practice, and you are the person who keeps them coming back between medical treatments. You work alongside the injector and the Medical Director, you prepare and support patients around their medical treatments, and you hand anything medical to the medical team.

This role is for an esthetician who wants to build. Our practice is relaunching its esthetics program at Marietta, and you will be the provider who grows it. Converting consults, rebooking, and bringing in clients of your own is up to you, and your earnings rise as your book grows.

Estimated earnings: $40K–$70K annually as you build your book, with more for estheticians who bring a following or add days. You keep 100% of tips.

Schedule: Part-time. Marietta clinic days are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. You set your availability within clinic hours, with the option to add days.

HOW OUR PRACTICE HELPS YOU BUILD

  • A launch campaign announcing you: email and text to our patient list, social features, and a provider profile on our website and Google Business Profile.
  • Patient events that our practice hosts, promotes, and staffs, where you consult and book.
  • An existing patient base. Our weight loss and wellness patients at Marietta and Norcross are a built-in audience for skin care.
  • Lead handling. Our patient coordinator answers inquiries, books consults, and sends confirmations and reminders.
  • Paid leads from our website and advertising, routed to your schedule.
  • Treatment room, back-bar products, and booking systems ready on day one.

3. What You Will Do

TREATMENTS

  • Perform facials and skin care treatments on our service menu, including signature and deluxe facials, acne-focused facials, back facials, dermaplaning, and LED therapy.
  • Perform chemical peels that are within your Georgia license scope and approved under Medical Director protocols.
  • Perform waxing and other non-laser hair removal within scope, where offered at this location.
  • Provide pre-treatment skin preparation and post-treatment care for patients receiving medical treatments, as directed by the clinical team.

CONSULTATIONS AND SKIN CARE PLANNING

  • Lead esthetician skin consultations: assess skin type and concerns, review history within scope, set realistic expectations, and recommend a treatment series.
  • Build a simple home-care routine for every patient using the professional skin care lines the clinic carries.
  • Spot candidates for injectables, laser, or microneedling and refer them to the injector or Medical Director for evaluation. You identify the opportunity; the medical team makes the clinical decision.

PATIENT EXPERIENCE

  • Deliver a calm, unhurried, five-star experience from room preparation to checkout.
  • Keep your treatment room clean, sanitized, and ready for every appointment.
  • Follow up after treatments and offer the next appointment before the patient leaves.

DOCUMENTATION AND CLINIC OPERATIONS

  • Document every service, consent, and photo in the clinic's practice management system the same day. No separate charts.
  • Maintain before-and-after photos with written patient consent, and keep back-bar inventory counts accurate.

RETAIL, EDUCATION, AND CONTENT

  • Educate patients on the professional skin care lines the clinic carries and recommend products that support their results.
  • Support clinic marketing with occasional treatment room photos, short educational clips, and before-and-after content, always with written patient consent and clinic approval. No results claims or guarantees.

4. Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Georgia esthetician license in good standing with the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers. Proof of licensure is required before your first service and at every renewal.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on esthetics experience. Medical spa or dermatology experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated skill in facials, chemical peels, and dermaplaning.
  • Working knowledge of skin analysis, Fitzpatrick skin types, contraindications, and post-procedure care for laser and injectable patients.
  • Comfortable with practice management software, digital charting, and clinical photography.
  • Current CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it within 30 days of start.
  • Able to pass a background check and provide professional references.

5. Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a physician-led medical aesthetics practice.
  • Training on professional medical-grade skin care lines (for example ZO Skin Health or SkinMedica).
  • Georgia Assistant Laser Practitioner license, or interest in pursuing it.
  • Retail experience with a consultative, pressure-free style.
  • An existing local client following.

6. Who Does Well Here

  • Polished and composed. You set the tone of the room.
  • Precise with your hands and with your charts.
  • Honest about what esthetics can and cannot do.
  • A builder. You have grown a client book before, or you bring clients with you.
  • A team player who hands off medical questions without hesitation.

7. Compensation and Engagement

  • Engagement type: independent contractor (1099).
  • Service compensation: 60% of net collected service revenue to you and 40% to the clinic, for services you personally perform, calculated after direct product and supply cost (peel solutions, masks, back-bar product, single-use supplies). General overhead is never deducted from your share.
  • Retail commission: 10% of the collected retail price, excluding sales tax and net of refunds.
  • Tips: you keep 100% of tips, including tips collected through the clinic's point of sale.
  • Pay schedule: biweekly, in arrears on prior-period collections.
  • You are paid on services that are performed, documented, and collected. Prepaid packages pay out per session as each session is completed.
  • No referral payments. Compensation is for services you personally perform, never for referrals or the volume or value of referrals.
  • The clinic provides the treatment room, back-bar products, disposables, scheduling, payment processing, software access, and operational support.
  • Training: onboarding, privacy and safety training, and product and protocol training, with annual refreshers.

8. Compliance and Conditions of Engagement

  • License verification on file before your first service and at each renewal. Written notice to the clinic the same day if your license is restricted, suspended, or under investigation.
  • HIPAA and privacy training before any patient contact. Patient records, photos, and consents are clinic records and may not be exported or kept separately.
  • OSHA, bloodborne pathogen, sanitation, and infection control standards per Georgia cosmetology rules and clinic policy.
  • Written patient consent for every photo or video. No clinical claims or guarantees in any content.
  • Same-day incident reporting of adverse reactions, complaints, or safety events.
  • Use of our practice name and logo only with written approval.

9. Your First 30 Days

  • Complete onboarding, privacy, safety, and software training.
  • Shadow the clinical team. Learn our consult flow and pre- and post-care for laser and injectable patients.
  • Demonstrate competency on each menu service before independent booking.
  • Learn the retail lines, the pricing menu, and the rebooking standard.
  • Set your 60-day goals with the clinic owners.

10. How to Apply

Send a resume, a copy of your current Georgia esthetician license, and a short note on your experience to our practice through this posting. Include before-and-after examples of your work if you have them, with client consent.

Our practice is committed to equal opportunity and does not discriminate on the basis of any characteristic protected by law.
