Surgical Medical Assistant | Plastic Surgery

We're seeking an experienced, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about plastic surgery, aesthetics, reconstructive care, and providing an exceptional patient experience.

As a Medical Assistant, you will support patients throughout their journey—from consultations and pre-operative visits to surgery and post-operative care. You will work closely with our surgeon and clinical team assisting with a diverse range of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery procedures, helping patients feel confident, informed, and cared for every step of the way.

• Have previous experience working in a plastic surgery, surgical, aesthetic, or medical spa environment
• Have knowledge of aesthetic surgery, skincare products, and medical spa services
• Be comfortable assisting with surgical procedures, patient education, and post-operative care
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Be reliable, punctual, and committed to being a supportive team member
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients

What You'll Do

You will play an essential role in providing exceptional care throughout the patient journey. You will work closely with our surgeon and clinical team to support patients from their initial consultation through surgery and recovery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcome patients and create a warm, comfortable, and personalized experience from the moment they arrive
• Room patients, obtain medical histories, vital signs, medications, allergies, and clinical photographs
• Assist the surgeon during consultations, in-office procedures, surgical cases, and post-operative visits
• Provide patient education and support before and after procedures, ensuring patients feel informed and confident in their care
• Prepare patients for surgery, including pre-operative visits, consents, instructions, and garment fittings
• Assist with surgical room preparation, instrument sterilization, medication documentation, and maintaining a safe clinical environment
• Complete accurate medical documentation, EMR updates, superbills, and surgical notes
• Coordinate patient follow-up, prescriptions, lab testing, and medical clearances
• Recommend medical-grade skincare products and aesthetic treatments when appropriate
• Maintain organized exam rooms, supplies, and inventory to support efficient daily operations
• Assist with patient communication, scheduling, and administrative tasks as needed
