Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Assistant to join our Plastic Surgery and MedSpa practice. This role supports both clinical and surgical services, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, and experienced in surgical or aesthetic medicine.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Patient Care
- Prepare patients for consultations, procedures, and post-operative visits
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient documentation
- Assist the physician during in-office procedures and minor surgeries
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient education and instructions
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, and suture removal as directed
- Assist with injectable treatments (Botox, fillers) and laser procedures
Operating Room (OR) Support
- Assist with surgical setup, room turnover, and maintaining sterile field
- Prepare surgical instruments and supplies
- Monitor patients before and after surgical procedures
- Ensure compliance with OR safety and infection control protocols
Key Responsibilities
- Assist providers with clinical procedures and patient care in the office as well as Operating room
- Prepare exam rooms and OR and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Flexible with hours
- Perform vital signs, intake, documentation, and chart updates
- Help maintain a smooth, welcoming practice environment
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification (preferred)
- Experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or aesthetics (a plus, not required)
- Strong customer service and multi-tasking skills
