Medical Office Front Desk Personal
Requirements:
- Strong computer, customer service, communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of medical supplies.
- They also must know how to interact with doctors, other professional staff.
- Greets visitors and maintains registering of patients as they enter the clinic.
- Provides phone, clerical, and data entry support including some insurance verification.
- Directs patients, visitors, and callers to appropriate parties and answers basic questions.
- Requires a high school diploma.
- Reports to a supervisor or manager.
- Must have a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
- May perform some administrative activities such as receiving and sending mail and packages.
- May help to complete security procedures.
Responsibilities Include:
As client-facing professionals, Medical Receptionists play a key role in representing a practice within the community. Duties and responsibilities for this role typically include:
- Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone
- Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues
- Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
- Notifying providers of patient arrivals
- Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions
- Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records
- Collecting patient charges for small procedures
- Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders
- Organization and time management to manage a variety of tasks effectively
- Attention to detail to schedule patients correctly and communicate scheduling difficulties with provider
- Technological skills, such as using word processing, EMR’s, spreadsheet programs and email
- Must have knowledge of google reviews
