Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused Laser Technician / Medical Aesthetic Specialist to join a boutique medical aesthetics practice in the western suburbs of Chicago in Oak Park, IL.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with advanced energy-based devices, excels in patient education and consultation, and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality treatment outcomes.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, high-standard aesthetic environment and is interested in expanding their expertise as new technologies are introduced.
Opportunities may also exist to support training initiatives within an internal education space for aesthetic providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced laser and energy-based aesthetic treatments with a focus on safety and results
- Conduct patient consultations and support treatment planning and education
- Build strong patient relationships and support retention and satisfaction goals
- Maintain clinical documentation and adhere to safety protocols and treatment standards
- Support upselling of treatment plans, memberships, and retail skincare products
- Ensure proper device usage, maintenance, and compliance with protocols
- Stay current with evolving aesthetic technologies and treatment techniques
Qualifications
- Current laser technician certification or applicable state licensure
- Minimum 3 years of experience performing aesthetic laser treatments
- Experience in a medical spa, dermatology, plastic surgery, or aesthetic practice
- Experience with energy-based devices (e.g., radiofrequency and IPL platforms such as InMode or similar)
- Willingness to obtain additional device certifications as required within onboarding period
- Strong understanding of skin types, laser safety, and treatment protocols
- Experience in patient consultations, treatment conversions, memberships, or retail sales preferred
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., GoHighLevel or similar) is a plus
- Strong communication, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Ability to work weekends as needed
