High-end Facial Plastics Practice seeking a Full-Time Front Desk Receptionist
Office is located in Troy, Michigan
As the front desk receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients; managing scheduling, greeting clients and providing knowledgeable support about services including injectables, skin rejuvenation, skin care products, as well as surgical and non-surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process, and promoting the sales of skincare and services at our office.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly and ensure a positive experience while checking them in using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Ensure patient comfort and a welcoming environment, offering them available beverages and amenities
- Collect and enter patient information in the EMR; including valid ID, new patient paperwork and insurance information, and verification, if applicable
- Maintain cleanliness of the lobby and front desk area
- Handle patient check-out, collect and process payments as required, scan in visit related documents, and scheduled follow-up appointments as directed
- Discuss and collect patient co-pays, deductibles, or outstanding balances at the time of patient visits
- Answer calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries over the phone and emails and /or direct them to appropriate parties
- Confirm new patient appointments and reschedule appointments as necessary utilizing our tracking management system
- Prepare charts for upcoming visits; manage chart updates with scanning and medical record keeping
- Respond to medical record request and assist in obtaining imaging requests (CT scans) if needed
- Manage patient messages
- Manage and order skin care inventory
- Be an active seller of skincare products and aesthetic services
- Be willing and able to learn details about the surgeries and services provided at this office and be able to share and explain this information to perspective patients
Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of previous medical office or medspa receptionist experience is preferred (aesthetics/facial plastics experience is a plus)
- High school diploma required; associates degree preferred
- Comfortable working with patients of various backgrounds, including various cultural, racial, gender identifying or sexual orientations
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Proficiency in using a desktop computers (typing), scanner, iPad, and phone systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology, cosmetic procedures, and skincare products
- Comfortable discussing and selling skincare products
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- High integrity and eagerness to grow within the practice
- Outgoing and friendly; Kind and empathetic
- Must have reliable transportation
