Position Overview
Premier Facial Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, and MedSpa practice in San Francisco seeking a polished, professional, and personable Full-Time Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing team.
As the first point of contact for our patients, this individual plays a key role in creating an exceptional patient experience while managing front office operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-service driven, and comfortable discussing aesthetic treatments, skincare products, injectables, laser treatments, and both surgical and non-surgical procedures.
Weekend availability is required for this position.
This role requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, multitasking abilities, and a genuine passion for aesthetics, skincare, and patient care.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors warmly and ensure a welcoming, luxury patient experience
Check patients in and out using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Collect and enter patient demographics, insurance information, consent forms, and identification
Verify insurance information when applicable
Answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and direct inquiries appropriately
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
Prepare charts and maintain accurate medical records through scanning and documentation
Collect co-pays, deductibles, balances, and process payments
Manage patient communication and follow-up messages
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception and lobby areas
Ensure patient comfort by offering beverages and amenities
Assist with skincare inventory management and ordering
Educate patients on skincare products, MedSpa services, and aesthetic treatments
Learn details of surgical and non-surgical procedures offered within the practice
Support providers and staff to ensure efficient daily operations
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of medical office, dermatology, plastic surgery, or MedSpa receptionist experience preferred
Experience in aesthetics, facial plastics, dermatology, or cosmetic medicine strongly preferred
High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
Familiarity with EMR systems and medical office workflows
Knowledge of medical terminology, skincare products, cosmetic procedures, and aesthetic treatments
Comfortable discussing and recommending skincare products and aesthetic services
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional, outgoing, empathetic, and patient-focused demeanor
Reliable transportation required
Comfortable working with patients of all backgrounds and identities
Must be dependable and available to work weekends
