Job Description
A multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center is seeking an experienced Charge Nurse (RN) to support daily clinical operations in a fast-paced surgical setting. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader passionate about patient safety, operational excellence, and team collaboration.
Position Overview
The Charge Nurse will oversee day-to-day nursing operations, coordinate patient care across surgical workflows, and support a high-performing clinical team. In addition to the responsibilities below, you will be an important point of escalation for clinical issues or urgent situations

Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to nursing and support staff across pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
- Oversee patient flow and promote efficient surgical case turnover
- Partner with physicians, anesthesia teams, and leadership to optimize patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory/accreditation standards
- Mentor staff through training, coaching, and performance support
- Assist with scheduling, resource allocation, and equipment readiness
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California
- Minimum 3+ years of perioperative or PACU nursing experience required
- Prior ambulatory surgery center or OR leadership experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with accreditation standards such as AAAHC, CMS, or Joint Commission
