Job Title: Aesthetic Laser Practitioner

Location: Westside 

Compensation: Full Time, Hourly Pay + Commission on all Services & Retail

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Daytime Hours 

Reports To: Practice Director and Director of Operations

We’re seeking a Laser Practitioner to treat cosmetic and aesthetic conditions as well as promote good skin health practices and follow all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Establish and maintain an excellent working relationship with our medical director, midlevel providers, management and interdisciplinary team
• Administer documentation for Assistant or Senior Laser Practitioner with GCMB and supervising physician and comply with all requirements of same (when applicable).
• Engage in marketing, recruitment, conversion and retention activities for new and existing clients including events (on and offsite), social media posts, group bookings and self-promotion
• Provide superb aesthetic and cosmetic laser care following all safety protocols
• Obtain and evaluate comprehensive medical health histories for each patient
• In conjunction with NP, PA or RN create appropriate and comprehensive cosmetic and aesthetic care plans
• Educate patient on condition, nature and purpose of recommended interventions and the burdens, risks, and expected benefits of all options, including forgoing treatment
• Employ consultative sales techniques that are prospect focused, involve active listening and focused Q&A, and provide customized and long-term solutions for our patients including pricing and promotion
• Provide expert aesthetic and cosmetic laser treatments to include, HydraFacial’s, chemical peels, dermaplaning, Moxi and/or BBL photo facials, Skin Pen microneedling treatments, LED treatments, post procedure lymphatic drainage for face and body, laser hair removal, and potential new treatments.
• Generate skin care sales appropriate to the client’s needs
• Efficiently document all aspects of patient care in the EMR including pre/post instructions, consents, photography, and encounter notes
• In partnership with NP, PA or RN manage adverse events to the satisfaction of the patient, business and provider
• Maintain medical equipment, supplies, inventory and sanitation per protocol for designated treatment area
• Honor schedule commitment by presenting regularly, timely and prepared for assigned shifts
• Autonomously maintain licensure, certification and advance professional knowledge base and skill set

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Proven experience (two year minimum) as an aesthetician and laser practitioner in dermatology, plastic surgery medical spa setting and/or day spa
• Safe and effective application of laser and light modalities for skin texture irregularities, pigmented and vascular lesions and hair removal of the face and body
• Confident and competent use of microneedling devices with and without PRP for the purpose of collagen induction and hair restoration
• Skilled application of chemical peeling agents and medical grade skin care products for skin rejuvenation
• Eager to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience in cosmetic and aesthetic applications adopted by the company
• Excellent communication, documentation and consultative sales skills
• Strong ethical decision-making skills and strict adherence to the confidentiality of our patients and guests’ personal health information
• Team spirit with a positive attitude while working with an interdisciplinary team in a clinic setting
• Patience, kindness and a calm demeanor in patient and coworker interactions
