Aesthetic Injector & Laser Provider
Job Info
Job Description
The Lead Nurse Injector delivers the full injectable service menu at an expert level and serves as the site’s clinical anchor for injectables. Beyond a full patient schedule, this role owns injector onboarding, documented competency sign-off, chart quality, and product stewardship. This is a working clinical role first — roughly 70% direct patient care, 30% leadership and oversight.
Clinical responsibilities
- Perform neurotoxin, dermal filler, biostimulator, PRF/PRP, and other injectable services per approved protocol and within the scope of your license in the state of practice.
- Conduct consultations and pre-treatment assessments; build treatment plans that account for facial anatomy, patient goals, budget, and realistic staging over multiple visits.
- Recognize and manage complications — including vascular compromise, nodules, and hypersensitivity reactions — per standing protocol, with immediate escalation to the Medical Director where required.
- Document completely in Zenoti at the time of service: consent, standardized before/after photography, product, lot number and expiration, units and injection sites, and follow-up plan.
- Complete post-treatment follow-up on new patients and any treatment with a reported concern.
- Maintain rebooking and treatment-plan continuity at the chair rather than deferring to the front desk.
Leadership and training responsibilities
- Serve as the site’s injectable modality lead within the clinical training program: maintain skills checklists, run proctored observation, and issue written competency sign-off before any injector treats independently.
- Onboard new injectors and re-verify competency annually or after any protocol, product, or technique change. Competency is documented performance, not attendance.
- Conduct monthly chart audits on a sampled basis for consent, photography, lot capture, and protocol adherence; report findings and corrective actions to the Clinical Manager.
- Own injectable inventory: par levels, lot tracking, cold-chain integrity, expiration rotation, and waste logging. Waste and discrepancies are documented, not absorbed.
- Coordinate manufacturer training and rep relationships; ensure loyalty program enrollment and redemption (Alle, Aspire) are handled accurately at point of sale.
- Take escalated, complex, and revision cases; mentor junior injectors on case selection and when to decline a treatment.
- Support new-location openings and cross-site coverage as needed.
Compliance responsibilities
- Maintain a current, unencumbered license and all required delegation, protocol, or collaborative practice documentation for the state of practice. Services stop if that documentation lapses.
- Practice strictly within licensed scope and the delegating provider’s written protocol; do not accept or delegate tasks outside it.
- Report adverse events promptly per protocol and applicable manufacturer requirements.
- Maintain patient privacy and records handling consistent with HIPAA and company policy.
Qualifications
Required
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice (or eligible for prompt licensure)
- Minimum 1 years of full-time aesthetic injection experience with a substantial documented case volume
- Demonstrated competency across current-generation neurotoxins and HA fillers
- Documented complication-management training, including hyaluronidase protocol
- Current BLS certification
- Comfort with EMR/POS documentation and photography standards
- Willingness to travel occasionally between locations
Preferred
- RN licensure
- Manufacturer trainer or advanced-technique certification
- Experience with energy-based devices and body contouring
- Prior experience training or supervising other injectors
- Zenoti experience
Performance expectations
Evaluated on: chart audit pass rate, rebooking rate, revenue per clinical hour, treatment-plan and package continuity, product waste percentage, patient satisfaction and reviews, and timeliness of complication escalation. Competency sign-offs completed for all assigned injectors within the onboarding window.
