Advanced Aesthetic Injector and Surgical Care Provider
JOB SUMMARY
Provides exceptional patient care through aesthetic injectable treatments, perioperative clinical management, patient education, and medical support for both surgical and non-surgical patients. Serves as an extension of the physician by delivering safe, evidence-based aesthetic treatments while helping ensure outstanding patient experiences before, during, and after surgery. This position combines aesthetic medicine with comprehensive clinical responsibilities and contributes to the continued growth and excellence of the practice.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
· Current Indiana licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
· National board certification applicable to specialty
· Current DEA registration (if applicable)
· Current BLS certification required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as an aesthetic NP or PA preferred
· Experience performing cosmetic injectable treatments including neuromodulators and dermal fillers.
· Strong understanding of facial anatomy and aesthetic assessment
· Experience caring for surgical patients preferred
· Excellent communication and patient education skills
· Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
· Professional, compassionate, and service-oriented demeanor
· Ability to build strong patient relationships while maintaining the highest level of professionalism
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the physician and clinical team
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
· Demonstrates enthusiasm, initiative, adaptability, and commitment to continual learning
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Aesthetic Injectable Treatments
· Performs comprehensive aesthetic consultations within scope of practice
· Develops individualized treatment plans consistent with practice philosophy and physician oversight
· Administers cosmetic neuromodulators and dermal fillers
· Educates patients regarding treatment expectations, risks, benefits, alternatives, and post-treatment care
· Documents all treatments thoroughly within the electronic medical record
· Maintains high-quality before-and-after photography according to practice protocols
· Identifies patients who would benefit from surgical evaluation
· Participates in treatment planning with the surgeon when appropriate
· Assists in maintaining consistency in aesthetic outcomes and patient satisfaction
Surgical Patient Care
· Performs pre-operative appointments and patient education for upcoming surgical procedures
· Reviews medical histories, medications, allergies, and surgical clearances
· Coordinates necessary laboratory testing and medical clearances
· Conducts postoperative visits and wound assessments
· Removes sutures and dressings as appropriate
· Addresses routine postoperative questions and concerns
· Triages patient phone calls and portal messages
· Reinforces postoperative instructions and recovery expectations
· Assists with in-office surgical procedures as needed
Clinical Operations
· Prepares treatment rooms and procedure areas
· Assists physician during procedures when needed
· Ensures compliance with medication handling requirements
· Assists with implementation and maintenance of clinical protocols
· Maintains accurate documentation within the electronic medical record
· Helps optimize patient flow and clinic efficiency
Patient Communication & Education
· Provides thorough education regarding procedures, recovery, skincare, and long-term maintenance
· Develops trusting relationships with patients throughout their treatment journey
· Communicates promptly regarding questions, medication refills, and concerns
· Coordinates care with referring providers when appropriate
· Helps ensure patients receive an exceptional concierge-level experience
Practice Growth
· Educates patients regarding available treatment options and complementary procedures
· Identifies opportunities for comprehensive facial rejuvenation plans
· Supports practice growth through exceptional patient experiences and relationship building
· Participates in educational events, patient seminars, and community outreach as requested
· Assists with educational content creation when appropriate
Other
· Maintains proficiency with all computer software utilized in the practice
· Maintains patient confidentiality by following the practice HIPAA Compliance Plan and all data security policies
· Attends educational courses, conferences, and advanced aesthetic training as requested
· Maintains competency with new products, technologies, and treatment techniques
· Oversees and manages special tasks and projects
· Performs all other tasks requested by the surgeon

Access to PHI (Protected Health Information)
This position has the authority to access all Protected Health Information (PHI), and the nature of the job requires daily access to electronic medical records, patient schedules, clinical documentation, laboratory results, photographs, treatment records, billing information, and other protected information necessary for patient care and practice operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Typical Physical Demands
Position requires prolonged standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting of supplies and equipment. Manual dexterity sufficient to perform aesthetic injections, assist with procedures, utilize medical instruments, operate computers and office equipment, and accurately document patient care is required. Normal vision and hearing are necessary to safely evaluate, treat, and communicate with patients.
Typical Working Conditions
Professional medical office and outpatient surgical practice. Position involves direct patient care throughout the day with occasional evening educational events or weekend responsibilities.
