My name is Matt Van Nortwick, and I have had the great opportunity of working in a extremely fast paced SaaS role for the past four years supporting State and Local Government customers. I was originally hired by my current employer as a Sales Operations Specialist, supporting the GTM sales functions across the United States SLED accounts. I was responsible for the back-end management of thousands of customer licenses, renewal, and net new business quotes for AE's, and served as a main point of contact and Sales Support Expert for AE's, CSM's, Finance, Legal, MIS, Tech Support, and pretty much every other team that interacted with our GTM strategy., After quickly demonstrating my skills, I was promoted to Renewal Account Manager for our Northeast SLED region. Today, I manage the renewal process for over 260 customers, and 4,400 SaaS licenses annually. I also serve now as a primary point of contact for all of our Government agencies, and have led dozens of customer calls, and am able to effectively communicate thoughts, ideas, and strategies on how to optimize their license use, and keep them active. I am now a quota carrying individual and forecast with sales leadership weekly, and have become very familiar with SFDC reporting due to my four years of experience using it., You may be wondering, why would a Field Sales individual contributor be looking for a Sales Ops role? The truth is, in my Sales Ops role, I absolutely loved being able to support our Field Sales teams, and optimize everything they do to make their roles easier. I am more of an analytical person, and enjoy creating and analyzing reports, working on really complex quotes, and being able to deliver something to somebody that needed my help. Some of my greatest professional accomplishments were being able to support another individual towards the same goal, like at the EOQ, being available on a Sunday evening at 11:30 PM to close a deal and process so we have it in the quarter, and make sure our customer's licenses don't expire the next day, being able to work with a new AE on their quotes and forecast numbers so they are confident speaking to sales leadership. I am extremely diligent and effective managing these tasks, and it truly brings me a lot of joy. Sales Ops tasks excite me, and I truly enjoy the nature of this field.
